Duster works great. I used the blades to wipe down my black car from morning dew and it ended up scratching the paint off because there was dirt on there so make sure you only use it right after you wash your car. I guess I should have read the warnings and reviews. Now it's mostly used in my bathroom.

Hard to believe anyone still buys these things and they are still being sold. Object of the tool is to be able to remove dust type contaminants from your car's finish. When I purchsed this, my intent was to have something to quickly dust off my garage queen before I put a cover on it after a fun drive. When I first used it, it left red lint particles all over and streaks on all the surfaces (glass or paint). I thought it might have been due to some contamination on my car. I washed, clayed, polished and waxed the finish to be sure I had an absolutely clean surface and then dusted the car and again it left red lint and streaky marks. Don't think that it was because the wax or oil they use in it was too much and would get better with time. A glutton for punishment, I've tried using this every so often over the last 5 years. I got this first when I purchased a factory new car in 2005. The last attempt was summer 2009, at which point the duster was essentially dry. Same results every time. I've since found micro-fiber dusters that do an absolutely fantastic job. Look around for these. Avoid this waste of money.

Nice product, but (as the company suggests) this product needs a couple of days on either newspaper or brown paper bags to absorb excess wax.

First off, buying in this kit is a better value than buying each separately. At first, I was skeptical about the car dusters. But after buying these and using them for the past couple of months, I have to agree with the other positive reviewers here that they work well. I bought these to use with my black car, which just seems to collect (and show) dust even a day after a car wash. The large duster is the perfect cleaning tool to get rid of that light layer of pollen or dust between washes. It is large enough that i can quickly wipe over my entire car in just a couple minutes. Now when wiping, you should do it lightly to not scratch your car with dirt debris in the brush. Also, as others have mentioned, the first couple times you use it, you may actually get some parrafin wax streaks but this definitely gets better over time. A few potential negatives to consider for the large duster. First, its somewhat heavy for a "duster" and can thus be a little unwieldy to use. On my particular duster the red mop head kept falling off the wooden duster handle, which was annoying. Also, it's hard to clean the dirt off the duster because by doing so, you can strip the wax from the mop head which reduces its effectiveness. I rinse with a little bit of cold water and just let it stay a little "dirty." Finally, the duster only lifts light surface dust. It is not effective for anything that is slightly more "stuck on" (e.g., rain spots).
The smaller duster is great. Its tiny, made of a light plastic and perfect for a quick dust off of the car interior. I use it constantly and its does the job well. Obviously as a duster it doesn't pick up larger debris or crumbs or whatever, but still very useful!
Finally, the jelly blades definitely clear water fast. Much faster than microfiber towels or even chamois. And better yet, you don't have to dry them out like you would a towel or chamois after you're done drying. But, and this is a big "but", you can only really safely use these when your car is absolutely clean (i.e., after a car wash). Otherwise, these jelly blades can literally scrape dirt across your paint, producing scratches. There's even a big warning letter attached that says as much. So if you are drying your car after a rain to avoid rain residue spots, you're better off with a large chamois or microfiber towels than these blades.
